Yohans lives with his mother and twin brother in Debre Birhan; his father’s whereabouts are unknown. Currently, the family shares a home with another family because his mother cannot afford rent. She earns about 1,350 ETB ($8) a month cleaning and doing odd jobs. They survive on this income and the irregular, limited aid they receive. Family sponsorship has the power to change the trajectory of their lives by reflecting Jesus’ love and providing the family with food, hygiene supplies, and medical support. It will also offer job training for his mother, along with encouragement, community, and hope for a better future.
