Liyu, ED024

Liyu is 7 years old and currently attends 1st grade. She lives with her mother, 2 sisters and 1 brother in an IDP camp in Debre Birhan. Her family fled their home after their village was attacked by rebel forces. Liyu’s father disappeared in the attacks and the family fears that he is dead. Mom is illiterate and suffers from an ailment in her right foot making it difficult to walk. The family currently lives off of the irregular and limited support that they receive in the camp. Liyu is traumatized from the attacks and continues to miss her father greatly.
