Halid, ED025

Halid lives with his mother and 2 brothers in an IDP camp in Debre Birhan. He is 11 years old and currently attending 1st grade. His mother is illiterate and without work; they live off the limited support that they receive from individuals and organizations. Halid and his family fled their village after it was attacked and his father was killed by rebels–motivated by ethnic hatred. Halid is deeply traumatized and misses his father greatly while continuing to struggle with the horrific manner of his death.
