Mom is married yet has had to provide for Abel on her own since her husband is deployed with the military and has not been heard from for 9 months. This is leading Mom to fear that he has been killed. Currently Mom has been working washing clothes and cleaning– earning about 2,150 ETB ($40) a month while paying 1,500 ETB ($28) in rent.
