Here are some things to catch you up on family life for the Shannons.
We have had an amazing number of visitors over the past 2 months. It has been great to feel so supported and loved on – plus its always fun to get to show people around the Day Care. We’ve had so many donations come in for the Day Care as well as people praying for us and loving on us. We have a bunch more teams and individuals stopping by over the next month or so, too.
We all got to get away for an overnight trip with our great friends The Benkerts from Bring Love In. Our two families along with a friend from Texas had an amazing time at the Muger Gorge. Here are a couple of photos from our time there.
We’ve celebrated 3 Birthdays over the past couple of months. Jerry turned 41, Hanna turned 4 and Micah just turned 10. Here are some photos of the kids birthdays. We’ll spare you the photos from Jerry’s Birthday – he just looks older, that’s all.
The kids are doing great in school and have a lot of friends. They also are loving being part of the Day Care expansion.
We are in the process of changing churches because the trip across the city every Sunday has become too much for us. On a normal Sunday we are in the taxi over and hour and a half each way. So, we have started attending International Evangelical Church which is only 15 minutes from our house. We are looking forward to getting more plugged in.
Jerry and Christy have started taking a medical course that is offered through the Vineyard College of Mission. It will be very helpful in identifying childhood illnesses and getting children referred…and in training our staff to do the same. We are looking forward to having a training team from VCOM here with us in March.
That’s what’s new here…much Grace and Peace to you!
