Are you ready for a Challenge?

Believe it or not, approximately 50% of the 7 billion people on this planet live on less than $2 per day.  Shocking? Maybe. Yet, I think for many of us this is just a statistic that we sort of numb out to or don’t understand.

That’s why we’re taking a challenge and asking everyone we know to join with us in it.

We are collaborating with our great friends Levi and Jessie Benkert from Bring Love In to call people to live on $2 for 1 day on Thursday, December 8th.   Would you join us in taking the challenge and in spreading the word to others?

Check out the website www.2dollarday.com .  There you will find more information about the challenge and also have the opportunity to sign up and say Yes to it.  You’ll find Facebook profile pics, buttons, etc. to help spread the word.  We’ve also got a place there for you to share your story about taking the challenge.

We believe that this 1 day is going to lead us on a journey of  increased empathy, prayer and understanding of what 3.5 billion people face everyday, while at the same time helping us to better understand ourselves and what God would have us do in response.
