While We’re Waiting…here’s what some of our friends are doing.
Happy New Year!
We don’t have much news to post these days. Our proposal is in the government’s hands and is undergoing their review and correction process. We fully anticipate that there will still be a number of steps involved and revisions and rewrites before our project is licensed and work can really begin here in Korah. The paperwork has been stuck in one office for over 4 weeks now, so your prayers are appreciated. Then after we are licensed we will start the process for obtaining a work permit…which also can be a bit complex. So, in all of it your prayers for patience and favor are appreciated.
However, in the meantime we’d love to share some great news about great friends of ours working here in Ethiopia. Levi and Jessie Benkert who head up Drawn From Water have become amazing friends and fellow journeyers here in Ethiopia. We love what they are doing and they recently hit the news in California for the work that Drawn From Water is doing here in rescuing tribal children who otherwise would have been killed in Southern Ethiopia. Check out this link to watch a recent Sacramento ABC news story on them…and watch your local ABC affiliate because it may be carried on a station near you soon!!
We hope that your new year is off to an amazing start…and we look forward to all that 2011 will bring!
